Flaring emissions are currently estimated to be 300 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalents (CO₂e) per year.

Gas Flaring

In 2003, approximately 4.5 billion m3 of associated gas were flared in Indonesia representing more than 70% of the flaring in Asia (Danish CDM Project Facility).
